1. Els Molins - old windmills of Xàbia.

Just back from the bustling Xàbia Port front, we like to start our ride off with a ‘café con leche’ at the notorious Nostro Cafe Costa before heading up to the first viewpoint which, is only a short 3mi/4.8km ride away. A steady 1.6km climb up the Carretera de Dénia with an average of 5% gradient, with highs of 14% & 600ft climbed to reach the Els Molins viewpoint. Offering views of the traditional windmills of Xàbia and the panoramic views of the beautiful Costa Blanca coastline and the surrounding mountain landscape.

2. Sant Antoni -

Cabo de San Antonio home to the lighthouse, is a just short, pretty much flat ride away from Els Molins, located between the municipalities of Jávea and Dénia and is part of the Natural Park Montgó. Beautiful panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

** Xàbia Port -

To return back down from the cliff side we suggest descending the steep windy road of ‘Carrer Cuesta De Sant Antonio’ for some great views of the harbour and surrounding coast line. Xàbia Port is not officially on the list of ‘Viewpoints of Xàbia’ however it’s not one to be missed on the way to ‘El Arenal Beach’. Plenty of sea-front cafes and restaurants to choose from overlooking the clear waters of the pebbled beach.

3. El Arenal Beach -

The iconic sandy beach of Xàbia, ‘El Arenal’, with a smooth tiled runway that runs along side; be careful riding through as it can get busy, however many bikes, scooters and other modes of transport will regularly pass through here. With the dozens of fragrant smells coming from the restaurant's you’ll bound to want to return for a bite to eat and enjoy choosing one of the many ice cream flavours available.

4. Séquia de la Nòria -

A short ride up the ‘Avinguda Ultramar’ road, in between the buildings on the coast you’ll find the ‘Séquia de la Nòria’ viewpoint, signposted, offering more stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding coastline. The viewpoint provides a unique vantage point to admire the rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and scenic landscapes of the Costa Blanca region. There are a few steps leading out to the open space and the terrain is rocky and uneven but we were still able to walk our road bikes down in our SPD and SPD-SL shoes.

5. Cala Blanca -

Another short ride down the road you will come to the Cala Blanca viewpoint which is paved and easily accessible by bike. You’ll see the stairs and two adjoining coves that communicate through a stone coastline, that people can access by foot, definitely not a road bike excursion. But you will get beautiful, picturesque views of the crystal clear waters and the contrast of the red stone and white rock.

6. Caletes -

Above the cliff of Cala Blanca, you will find the Caletes viewpoint. To get to it by bike you will need to return onto the main road and turn left following it down to the end, before going onto the ‘Carretera Del Portitxol’ there is a left turning on to ‘Camí de la Calablanca’ just down the side of Xàbia International College, will get you there and join you back onto the ‘Carretera Del Portitxol’ which takes you to the next viewpoint ‘Creu Del Portitxol’.

7. Creu Del Portitxol -

We start to climb a bit more now. As you follow the  ‘Camí de la Calablanca’ you will arrive back on the ‘Carretera Del Portitxol’ like we mentioned. The smooth windy roads up to a bend in the road, home to the famous viewpoint.

** Cala Del Portitxol - La Barraca -

Not on the list of viewpoints but a must see! A left turning signposted to the next viewpoint ‘L’illa’, ‘Cala Portitxol’ & ‘La Barraca’! If you don't mind a steady mile climbing back up with highs of 14% but a gradual gradient of 3-6%. A magnificent pebble beach overlooking the Portitxol island, home to the beautiful bohemian style restaurant, Cala Clemence, where you can enjoy the traditional mediterranean cuisine or sit back and admire the views with a ‘café con leche’. There are not many options of places to leave your bike if you would like to stop at Cala Clemence however the staff were happy enough for 2 bikes to be leant against the fence on the ramp leading up to the restaurant.

8. La L’Illa

Just a few minutes away back up the climb you come down to get to ‘La Barraca’ is the La L’illa viewpoint.

9. La Falzia

10. Cap Negre

11. Cap De La Nau

12. Les Pesqueres

13. Ambolo

14. Castell De La Granadella

15. Cala De La Granadella
